Jose Gomez / Principal
A founding Partner of the Newport Property Construction team, Mr. Gomez manages and oversees multi-unit repositioning projects across the Southeast United States. Jose establishes and manages teams that complete apartment and condo remodels. He has a demonstrated track record of success and efficiency, having repositioned more than 5,000 apartment units in less than four years. Most proud of work completed in Mississippi and Texas following Hurricane Ike, Jose led construction teams, under challenging and dangerous post-hurricane conditions, to rebuild more than 1,300 apartments. Relying on more than a decade of construction management experience, he forges all strategic relationships with private equity funds, REITs and corporate clients to ensure projects are done on time and on budget.
Jose Moré / Principal
A founding Partner of Newport Property Construction, Jose is responsible for the entire construction process, beginning with preliminary cost projections and continuing through all phases of construction until projects are successfully completed. Among his varied roles at Newport Property Construction, Jose is the company’s primary liaison with professional consultants and government officials. He also manages projects’ cost projections, scheduling and field personnel management for all luxury residential, commercial, and multi-unit projects. Jose earned his bachelor’s degree in Construction Management from FIU.
Alejandra Gutierrez / Controller
Alejandra joined Newport in 2004 and serves as a key member of the Executive leadership team. Charged with developing strategic vision and implementing tactical plans, Alejandra leads the business services department and has developed processes to support the growth of the company. She is responsible for overseeing the company’s control systems and ensuring accurate financial reporting, analysis, forecasting, and job costing. Further, Alejandra oversees the human resources and business operations functions of the company.
A Miami native, Alejandra holds a BA and a Master’s in Business Administration from Florida International University and has completed post-graduate work at UCLA. An active volunteer in the company’s Newport Cares corporate social responsibility program, Alejandra is proud to be an integral part of Newport’s commitment to the South Florida community.
Jennifer Tijerino / Marketing & Business Development
Jennifer Tijerino is responsible for the marketing, branding, business development and awareness building for Newport Property Construction. She also plays a major role in the day-to-day operations of the company working very closely with management and staff as well as with our real estate company- Newport Real Estate. Jennifer is an active member of the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce, ABC of East Florida, BOMA Miami-Dade, and the Latin Builder’s Association. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the School of Mass Communications and Journalism at FIU as well as her Florida Real Estate Sales Associate license.
